WHY DENLAB

The Denlab Careplan membership extends both the warranty period and the level of service provided to also include the following:

- Damage caused by physical trauma or impact.

A regular patient, Mrs Clarkson had a cracked ceramic front crown after her young child was swinging his toys around and accidentally knocked her mouth. Mrs Clarkson was very upset as the crack was highly noticeable and a distraction to the eye. She visited her dentist and expressed her concerns, we immediately booked her in to have the ceramic crown removed. The crown was sent to the laboratory to be re-fused to re-establish it's beauty. Mrs Clarkson's crown was then refitted thanks to her Denlab Careplan.

- Wear and Tear.

Mr Robinson who has a porcelain bonded crown on his back tooth had a grinding habit at night and unfortunately over the years has chipped the ceramic of his tooth making this extremely uncomfortable for him as it is sharp to the tongue. The broken off section of the tooth is very important as it is the only contact for that tooth and needs to be re-established. As Mr Robinson has a Denlab Careplan, he was able to have the crown removed and sent to the laboratory where it was restored to the highest standard using the correct material. Mr Robinsons crown was then re-fitted so that it was able to function properly again.

- Procedures where the dentist has required we work outside regulations.

Miss James had difficulty opening her mouth wide enough for her dentist to gain access and take an ideal impression when her bridge was being made. The dentist decided that even though their was difficulty in that specific area where the bridge fits, he would still go ahead and fit the bridge because it was the best result for the patient under the difficult circumstances. However a problem developed and Miss James' gum became inflamed. A special technique which allowed the laboratory to change the shape next to the gum was used, which enabled the bridge to be re-fitted to the newly adjusted shape, solving Miss James' problem.

If any of these types of problem require a new item to be made because it can't be appropriately done any other way, then that would be provided as a benefit of being a Denlab Careplan member.
